“Who Am I” is the Wrong Question!
Explore one of life’s most profound questions: Who Am I?—and why it may actually be the wrong question when you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or any form of mental illness.
Drawing from personal experience, Jennifer shares her journey through chronic depression and a painful personality profile shaped by negative self-beliefs, comparison, and insecurity. She and her co-host, John, challenge the idea that identity is fixed, arguing instead that many of our thoughts are conditioned, inherited, or quite simply…untrue! If you’ve ever taken a personality test and felt boxed-in by the results, this episode offers a liberating new perspective: you are NOT a sum total of your labels, your past, or your diagnosis!
Instead of asking “Who am I?”, Jennifer and John introduce transformative self-reflection questions that focus on growth, purpose, and possibility. They also discuss how childhood experiences, societal programming, and even ancestral patterns can influence your identity—and how you can consciously rewrite your story.
If you’ve ever felt trapped by your thoughts, overwhelmed by depression, or confused about your identity, this episode of the Overcome Depression Podcast for Christians Struggling With Faith is for you!

Ask THESE Questions Instead of “Who Am I?”
- What are my current strengths?
- What are my current weaknesses?
- What can do I do to play on those strengths?
- What can I do to remove or compensate for the weaknesses I see within myself?
- Where do I want to go from here?
- What person do I want to become?
- What have I experienced in my life that has influenced me to see myself, others, and life the way that I do now?
- Am I the victim in my story? Am I the hero in my story? If I am the victim, how can change my perspective and become the hero?
- How might experiences and memories from past lives (e.g., ancestors, pre-mortal life, when we were witness to others’ experiences) be guiding my present choices and affecting me now?
- What labels do I currently identify with?
- What labels did I used to identify with that I no longer identify with?
- What am I here to learn and how can I learn these things? (Consider and meditate on any blessings you have been given. In my case, I study my patriarchal blessing. If you have been blessed with specific gifts, consider how you can better use your time to develop those gifts. Also look at your North Node and Saturn placements. To see these, create a chart at astro-charts.com and then either book a session with me for a personalized reading, or purchase Astrology for the Soul and Spiritual Astrology by Jan Spiller and read about your placements. I would discourage an internet search, which may or may not result in “Christ-centered” education)
- What do I WANT to learn, and how can I learn these things?
- Who am I here to help? Who did I agree to help? And who am I here NOT to help (codependency, unhealthy attachments, spiritual/literal promises or contracts that need to be revisited)?
- Who do I need to let go of/who is hindering or distracting mr from God’s teachings and direction?
- What is calling to me at this moment that I need to focus more attention on?

Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (00:06)
If you are struggling depression or any other mental illness for that matter, asking yourself, who am I, is a total waste of energy and If me who I was when I was with depression, I would have told you I am a cross-country runner, a trumpet player, I’m kind of mean, I’m a straight-A student, I’m angry, insecure, unpopular, destined to fail.
not the greatest self-image. And I really was who I was. And I used the quote unquote good things to try up the quote unquote bad things. I hated who I was. I didn’t like myself. I didn’t want to be me. I would have rather been so many other people and I compared myself to so many other people.
what my is that it really isn’t about discovering who you are. It’s about knowing who you are then that. And we’ll talk a little bit in a with being mentally ill or depressed and trying to
who you are is that you’re stuck in these thought patterns and you don’t know how to change them. didn’t know how to change them. I thought I was going to be all of these adjectives the rest of my life because I couldn’t seem to change them no matter what I did, around years old, I started realizing that who I thought I was
and the thoughts in my head that I was identifying with. For first, not all my own thoughts, and second of all was not who I was. And that was a great relief, and it should be a great relief to you if you struggle with mental illness or depression. You are not your illness. You are not the thoughts in your head. the truth. Identity is a facade.
John (01:47)
Exactly.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (01:52)
who am I is not the right question that anybody needs to It’s just the wrong question. We’re going to talk about some better questions. John is here with me today. What do you think are some better
John (02:05)
it really depends on where you’re at in the learning process. If you are suffering better question to is what are my current strengths? What are weaknesses? And what can I do to play to those strengths?
What can I do to or compensate the weaknesses that I see within myself? And where do I want to go? type of a person do I want to become? And once you identify those strengths and weaknesses,
That is a major first towards pulling yourself out of whatever dark place happen to be in.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (02:54)
Right. I did an interview with Andrew McKee quite a while ago and he talked about how he struggled with major chronic depression then he died. And he tells about his brief death experience where he saw and felt, more felt essence and the purity of who he was without his body the interesting thing is have these
but we spirits having experience, And so these bodies come with natural man tendencies. We have to survive. We have urges that the spirit doesn’t you think about our ancestors and some of the things in the baggage that we’re carrying from them, the way we were raised, all the programming we had growing up.
John (03:23)
Right.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (03:43)
And that compiles we think we are not it. And he realized that when he died, all of that just fell away. he couldn’t even remember what his identity was as a human being with a physical body. he couldn’t describe. 10 years later understood that feeling he was feeling
John (03:48)
Yeah.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (04:03)
wasn’t outside of himself. It was him. It was himself. love. shared this list 23 characteristics of God that each of us as children of God, our essence, at our core, this is who we are. We’ve of test, the trial, the challenge, game,
where we push like to do astrology sessions I able to cut through some of the fat and see kind of what’s going on, present, future, in a way that helps understand the energy they have to work with, the freedom they have to move past it, and the hope.
John (04:25)
Right?
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (04:43)
they can use this divine blueprint to live their best possible life. But it’s all about into the light.
John (04:51)
there is a lot of noise out there thoughts that are not necessarily your own when I was going through crisis of faith moment those of you that you could actually listen
that was when I was trying to discover. Who I God answered me he removed noise was just listening thoughts without all those distractions
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (05:05)
one? episode 22.
John (05:26)
was a child of God. I
all this other feedback that I was
getting was essentially just noise. thoughts, negative impulses, negative desires, not me. essence was good And that’s why I say whenever
find yourself hearing all these negative emotions negative feelings, just realize that by your very creation goes against who you are. And that’s why we struggle so much sometimes because it’s an opposing in your existence. And so that’s why I say if you’re just starting out, if you list your strengths,
then that’s obvious at those strengths. Even if there’s only a couple, you want to focus on them because that’ll help pull you out. And where you’re weak, don’t be you’re weak because then you can go ask for help. And it’s in our weakness that we find our truest strength.
And I have done that where I felt something that was once very weak, turned out to be hidden strength. just wasn’t developed yet.
Tolle. says, our circumstances do not create suffering. Our perception of our circumstances create suffering. that is very true, especially with mental illness. It is all a matter of
have 30 new students year.
And I would say about half of them are struggling and a couple of them struggle very much. confident enough after talking with me for a week to come out and tell me that this is my weakness. I am not good at math. I don’t like math. I’ve had bad scores and I just tell all right, we’ll just focus on what you know.
We’ll take it one step at a time and we’ll get you through it. And a real life example is today the one student he commented that he has a math learning level about two grade levels below what we’re currently studying, And we worked on some problems and he was able to solve them. And I tell you the look on his face
He was like surprised. totally genuinely surprised that he got the right answer. And I told him, see, you come at it from a positive view, you work at it. I’ll help. And you can move forward. His entire view And he said, well, maybe I’m not so bad at math. Maybe can than I did before.
So right there, whenever you’re trying to move forward. You have to see past the negative thoughts, past the, I am this, I’m that. No, that’s why I say you focus on who you want to be. You focus on what you want to improve.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (08:24)
I am this, I’m not that.
John (08:33)
And as we’ve said repeatedly over and over again, one step forward, just one little step forward is all it takes.
today not the same person I was all those years ago. but I would also venture to say actually am that same person The only difference is I now recognize
my strengths, I recognize the love and I filter out the noise.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (09:05)
So you’re saying that someone who’s extremely broken and even maybe narcissistic can still find it in themselves to love themselves through a process of healing and not only after they heal, right? Which is nearly impossible to do. I mean, just being there myself, I wasn’t in a space where I could, but I can look back at that person who existed years ago I can love her now.
John (09:19)
Yeah.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (09:32)
and being on the other side of that and understanding her and what she was going through and to be able to recognize those struggles in other people and have compassion for what they’re going through. But again, it’s not a state of being you’re in, you’re not that person. You’re just embodying certain traits at that time. people, it’s crazy, but we fight viciously to protect the ego, which
John (09:51)
Exactly. Good way to put it.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (09:59)
by definition, my definition, is who we think we are. And we’re going to have a whole podcast about ego at some point, but they will find, yeah, well, and they’ll find all this evidence to support the see, this is who I am, see, this is who I am. And like they fortify identity who they’ve decided they are. And
John (10:07)
or what we think is important.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (10:23)
What you were talking about before reminded me of the fact that children be so carefree, lack inhibition, like they’ll try things, jump off things, they’ll do all kinds of things that an adult would not attempt if they were their size. And yet, it’s because they haven’t formed they don’t care who am I,
John (10:40)
Right, the-
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (10:45)
this is the new world to them, they’re excited to have this experience. as we go through experience, most of us piling on these labels of who we are and who we’re not. then we get the inhibitions and the limits on what we can and can’t do. And it’s not helpful. It’s just not helpful. There are exist who have different kinds of mental illness who don’t have any inhibitions at all.
It’s kind of scary, the things that they’ll do, often succeed because they weren’t afraid to try something that was considered impossible. wouldn’t going that far. have to set limits on safety, But it’s interesting psychology anyway. Total tangents, sorry.
John (11:26)
you mentioned with the children, children are very observant. That’s how they learn. They observe everything. they are, they are giant sponges and they just take in everything. So that’s why you have to really be how you are around your children, because mimic whatever they see.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (11:35)
They’re watching you.
John (11:50)
So if you’re putting labels on yourself, they’re going to those same labels. It just shifts because they say, what’s happening to mom and dad. Well, that’s to happen to me.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (12:00)
Yeah, kids do tend to take
on the mantle of their parents
There’s some are kind of horrid children still think those parents are the best parents in the entire planet. And
literally
protect their little egos because if they believe their parent is
then they will believe that they are horrid. You really do take on a lot from your parents. I to also add that we are gods in embryo. Teach your children this. You have the ability to be intentional about who you want to be.
just because you were struggling with this for the past year or today or whatever it is, past 10 years, that doesn’t mean that you can’t intentionally say, don’t want that anymore. And I’m going to take a different direction. I’m going to embody new traits. decision process, pretty powerful. because if you go by default, the world will decide for you who you are and what you’re going to be.
and you will be acted upon as the scriptures say the scripture literally says, and because
John (12:54)
Right.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (13:00)
that they are redeemed from the fall, they have become free forever, knowing good from evil, to for themselves and not to be acted upon.
what happens to a rubber band when it’s in tension? When it’s not in tension, it’s just kind of like, it’s not useful for very much. tension on it, you put on your you fling it, can…
be a lot of fun to watch how far it can go. has a purpose now because it’s intention. And when we are in tension, it gives us the ability to move forward spring forward. If you’re a rubber band, think of yourself as that rubber band.
It’s a beautiful gift, this literally think the darkness you feel when you make a mistake. We could never be relieved of that. It would just keep piling on if there was no redemption.
I’m just so grateful for that understanding that I didn’t always have of, yeah, the atonement was actually necessary so that we could have that hope and that ability that darkness over to Christ and God so that he could take it from us and we can be everything he knows that we already are. We just don’t remember yet.
John (14:05)
And that’s also where the whole concept of free will comes in. God creates us, puts us on the path, but then our free will to choose we want to go that gift. what direction do you want to take? God is always going to put different
in your how you navigate he determines where you wind you ultimately become.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (14:29)
We’re creators,
just like He is a creator. We’re his children. He designed us to create. something that’s kind of hard to swallow a lot of people is the idea that everything that’s in your space right now, you created that. No, I didn’t. It’s because of this, that, and the other. When you come to that reality and that understanding and that truth, a lot can change for you because you realize the power you to create.
John (14:38)
yes.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (14:57)
further and create something else. If you adopt that victim mentality, everybody else created this, everybody else created me. I’m a of my abuse, my life, That’s a really good stuck way to be and it’s a lot of lies. You have so much more power than you realize. All of us do.
John (15:17)
Yeah, a simple no. my moment when I changed, literally said, it, I’m done. Enough is enough. I going this way. destruction, the cliff.
ahead of I’m like, that’s it. Nope. I am not heading that way anymore. changing. I’m not going to waste opportunity I was given. so here I am now I had the ability to go in time change person who I was?
would I do that because I know some people way. you also have to stop and that all of those decisions you’ve made, and bad, are part of what has molded you you and
influence your decisions the future who you want to become.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (16:12)
Yeah, all things, all things, not just some things. And I think that’s a D&C scripture it just stands out to me so strongly. It was very impactful for me and says, things will work out for your good when you on the Lord Jesus Christ. all. It means…
John (16:29)
Yeah. the ability to bring out of any once I was watching a podcast and they were talking like, why does evil? first of all, God does not create evil, but he it those involved of their free will choose it.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (16:29)
all.
John (16:48)
that’s because he knows has and holiness and love out of even what we perceive to impossibly I mean, that’s a real
And again, if you have, yeah.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (17:02)
It’s a story and it’s a story
that you get to write. And the thing about that spiritually and psychologically is that our circumstances don’t create our suffering. It’s our perception of those circumstances or our the story we wrote creates the suffering. And we can rewrite the story.
We can create understanding. We can create love. We can create forgiveness. the storytellers. And it’s that brain that tends to get in the way sometimes darkness, tell us how the story went and tell us how the story should go and how we should be telling When decide for ourselves, I don’t
John (17:38)
Right.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (17:44)
I don’t like that story. rewrite this. Lord, will you help me do it with light? essence of change. And when you can see into the future who you want to become, that intention, more power to change you trying to reconcile the past. That’s been studied
in recent years that how you perceive your future self, what your future is going to look like, if it has a lot of hope in it, you’re much more likely to change than if you go to a bunch of therapy and try work through all of the problems that you’ve gone through in the that kind of wanted to over these

down for himself and he hangs it on his wall and he looks at it every day consciousness. That’s huge. Being present because the we have what’s happening right now. I’ll move on and do the rest of these, but this is just so important because presence even if bad things have happened or are going to happen, like you just maybe got really bad news.
I just got really horrible news today that someone I care very much about had a heart attack and he’s in now. I suffering, outcome, could realize that in this moment, in this very moment, is anything horrid happening?
I’m okay. In this moment, Even if things could go wrong in the future, in this moment, feel that peace, that consciousness, that awareness. The present is the only thing that truly, truly, truly exists. The has already happened. our interpretation on it can change it. The future yet to be discovered on our choices. So again, that presence can bring so much peace. I’m okay right now.
in this second, in this minute, right? consciousness, awareness, presence, I just mentioned all those three, love, understanding, creation, service, gratitude, wisdom, insight, humility, forgiveness, healing, peace.
Clarity, compassion, energy, joy, patience, stillness, wholeness, truth, and my favorite, knowing.
knowing is what has given me that confidence to make the decisions that I have to overcome depression, to feel confident moving forward in so many areas of my life that I knew it was going to be okay. I just knew, even though I didn’t know how it was going to work out. But we can be, and we are, all of those things. We
John (20:36)
Yeah.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (20:40)
think there’s a purpose for it because would be really hard count on anybody to anything. Almost like a container and it’s trying to contain this water. But do you want it in a container or do you want it flowing?
and grow. And water that flows, it picks up things along the way, minerals, and energy, and animals come things are growing around it, and it’s just so much more alive a container fluid that you’re trying to contain because you don’t want it change, you just want to keep it in there. And to water when you keep it in a container too long?
John (21:05)
Well, it-
it gets rather stale.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (21:12)
Yeah, it’s kind of, ugh, you want fresh, running, living water.
John (21:17)
God shares his love with us. He shares his gifts with us. And because have that urge to create would even venture to say infused part of is the desire to create.
whole process of living is to share those gifts with others. one of the greatest gifts people can share with other people is story of their lives. always envision my life as a book. then I have.
Different chapters the book, and I always say like whenever I have a major moment Well, that’s end of a chapter and then a new Begins, you know coming back
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (21:58)
That’s a really good way to write a book, keeps
people hooked.
John (22:03)
just imagine God is recording all of this everyone’s heart is known to him. But when you into Heaven…. Anybody can read your book. In fact, I’ve some stuff from saints and they’ve already said there’s a massive library And the library literally lives of
everyone in Heaven It’s all recorded and you can go and you can read entire life story of everybody everything I think that’s just really awe-inspiring.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (22:33)
Should that
be cool? Or might frighten some people. But I think it’s pretty cool. actions, what you chose to do, is you are. It’s what you chose to embody. And He knows who you are. And getting closer to Him can help us more like Him, which is
who we are. And I wanted to make some suggestions of questions we can ask are related and curiosity and growth that are not, am I? Who am I? It it lands so flat. It’s so concrete. It’s like you write a bunch of adjectives and it’s like period, the end, this is who I am. We got to get away from that. very good way to grow.
John (23:12)
It’s a
Yeah, that’s too
broad. narrow—
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (23:19)
or even too
narrow.
John (23:21)
too. have to be intuitive with your choices.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (23:26)
trust the process. gonna make lots of don’t lock yourself in perpetual mental or spiritual prison because can’t forgive yourself I made some mistakes today that I was like, dang it, I would love a do-over at that. And I’m gonna do it later tonight in my mind. I’m gonna do some do-overs.
John (23:27)
And yeah.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (23:43)
I’m gonna handle that better. Again, let’s rewrite this story. Let’s be better. Let’s practice how we’re gonna do it better. some better questions we can be John what I experienced in my life that has influenced me to see myself, others, and life the way that I do now? Are you playing the victim? Are you the hero of the story?
another question for you. How might experiences and memories from past lives, including ancestors, Heaven, life, perhaps if you believe in that, or when witness to others’ experiences possibly here on the other side, we could have internalized that, how can these be guiding my present choices and affecting me now?
what labels do I identify with? And remembering that these aren’t you.
John (24:24)
Now that.
depending on the labels, it can in a positive way or it could be a negative way.
when it goes back to that original comment about finding your weaknesses,
have some bad qualities too,
and what you qualities aren’t necessarily bad. It’s not using them in the correct way. They’re using them poorly
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (24:46)
being used
John (24:52)
you know that you have a weakness, something that causes you to go off the rails or off track, be willing to accept and is a part of I am at the moment. That’s one of
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (25:05)
That’s part of this life experience,
here to learn certain things. And we’re working with strengths and weaknesses, again, it’s not who we are. It’s what we came here to learn.
John (25:16)
Exactly. living here on the earth, this is kindergarten. When you die and you pass on, that’s when you get to first grade. When you’re in Heaven, that’s when you really learn the cool stuff.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (25:29)
here’s something for my chart I have Mars right next to
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell AI (25:35)

Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (25:35)
in the eighth house. it’s intense. a lot of
passionate energy and a lot baggage ancestors that there to give it discipline. Remember what happened last time? Remember you don’t want explode like that. Take that energy and put it in a positive direction. passionate about work or passionate about what you’re doing or passionate about a sport or best cheerleader ever
It’s a beautiful energy to have. didn’t feel that way when I was young. It just felt like I was like popping off constantly. It was hard to control. But once you get that under powerful. it allows you to get so many things done. very passionate about doing this a lot of energy in general.
and I can use it for a lot of good. Did I use it for a lot of years past? no, I did not. I grateful that I have that to work with now that I understand how to use it? Absolutely. But giving a stick and lighting it and saying, fun, you know? And they’re like, what does this do?
John (26:34)
Right.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (26:42)
it can hurt when you’re learning what a dynamite stick is capable of doing and you are the dynamite stick. you can use dynamite really great things.
John (26:51)
phrase popped into my head. Undirected energy Directed energy is constructive.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (27:02)
love it. Yeah. So here’s the big ones that I wanted to save for the end. What am I here to learn and how can I learn these things? What do I want to learn and how can I learn these things?
John (27:02)
for whatever it’s worth.
ooo
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (27:17)
Who am I here to help? did we agree to help? What contracts did we make? What is calling to us at that moment? What does God want us to do? the even more important one is who am I here not help? codependency, unhealthy attachments, maybe contracts you made that you’ve been trying to fulfill but the other person isn’t reciprocating and willing to accept the help. At some point you gotta…
ask the Lord. It’s time to end this contract, I walk away? to hurt me. It’s important to understand that if around helping all the wrong people, and I don’t mean wrong people like they’re wrong, but that there’s other people and other circumstances God has a plan for them, maybe you’re just getting in the way.
John (27:42)
You gotta walk away. It’s…
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (27:59)
I mean, that’s a very good possibility if you’re not in the at the right time helping the right person. God needs you over here and you’re there. kind of messes things up. messes with your identity too. And you’re confused. Well, why didn’t this work out? I’m trying to be a good person. I’m trying to do all these good things. got to ask the tough questions. do I help and who do I not help? Who do I say no to?
John (28:05)
Yeah.
That’s, that’s.
And that’s help.
that’s a very tough decision, especially when you’re very emotionally vested with the other individual. And you do have to realize the best way, you can help is to stand aside.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (28:37)
Mm-hmm.
John (28:37)
and let the chips fall where they may. I often tell this to my friends with children. You can’t live their lives for them. They have to make their own mistakes. And sometimes the only position you can be in is if they fall.
You can help them get back up again, but you can’t directly intervene.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (29:01)
then, you have to be
learning curve for certain people. They really have to hit rock bottom. And if that’s your kid, that is a hard thing to stand back and watch. I haven’t done that, but I’ve watched other people do it, and it is
John (29:16)
just going to say at the end of the day, trust in God. sometimes you just have to literally let go trust Him and know that it all
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (29:26)
And when you more practice at this, it gets easier and easier to do, when you can’t see the end result. I used to worry terribly about the outcomes of everything I to do, even though I’d feel peace in the moment and I’d be like, worrying later, like, but what’s going to happen? And the more and more that I experience life, I realize that God really does.
John (29:41)
Yeah.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (29:45)
have a handle on things. He’s got me. And I don’t need to worry. It may not go the way I want it or plan it myself, but in the end you look back and go, my everything that needed to happen happened and it’s okay. It wasn’t my way and it’s probably a good thing it wasn’t my way, because my way probably would have messed things up. And it doesn’t always make sense. it’s one of those things that you’re just I cannot make any sense of these things that happened. I can’t reconcile it. My heart goes out to you.
John (30:03)
Mm-hmm.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (30:11)
that’s really hard. And do believe that one of these days you given that gift of understanding to see and understand But again, is just painful. Why? not the right question to be asking if you want understanding and clarity and to of the 23 characteristics that we mentioned.
John (30:29)
One of the things I like to do is if I get to one of those with the why, a footnote in my story and say, all after I die and we do the life review, here’s a footnote click. You can explain it to me then from the other side, from that point of view. right. And then I on.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (30:49)
Sometimes I
I watched a movie about a guy who 600 Poland England and it was a process. It was really, really hard and he had a whole team of people who agreed to help him and the Nazis were coming gotten these trains full of kids just shipped off so they wouldn’t have to go to the camps but they knew they probably weren’t going to see their parents ever again and their parents were going to go to the camps and probably be killed.
train, which had the most kids on it, hundreds. The Nazis came that day and they couldn’t get the train out and failed. couldn’t get that last of kids out. It makes me cry I think about it because it affected him so much. tormented him for years that he couldn’t save that last of kids.
sitting there going, why couldn’t you angels that day? Get those kids out of there. And that’s not something understand, God knows. God knows purpose each individual here on Earth is and what they agreed to, what they wanted, and what they wanted to learn.
And it’s a good thing I’m not God, because I would probably mess a lot up to save everyone
John (31:50)
and they’re just, there are…
somebody had some very experiences as a child it took them years, but they finally came to terms with it because realized that there are some that
can’t be Earth. they realized that, it kind of helped the past and not let experiences the present anymore.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (32:22)
some of us, there’s certain things that we just won’t quite get. glad that gave he needed at that time, but I think he’s wrong. I think all pains can be healed on Earth. All of If and ready to forgive and receive them. And that’s hard pill for some people to swallow.
But I don’t think we have to wait. I don’t think we have to wait until we’re dead. if there’s certain things we don’t overcome, kids, our grandkids, have that opportunity to try to work those things out. It really does take a physical body, I think in all cases, to overcome that pain. So it has to be done here by somebody.
John (32:44)
Who knows what the future might hold?
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (33:03)
given to the Savior. We have to give it to Him as a mortal being. my personal feeling, He found peace in that moment. That’s where He was at. That’s what He was ready to receive. That’s what He was embodying at that time. And that’s okay. If that gave Him of healing, it’s good. It’s a step in the right direction. Right.
John (33:22)
It was a step in the step in the right direction. Definitely.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (33:27)
here’s a couple of, that I really liked and I just wanted to share before we close. Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He will deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their souls, raise up friends, and pour out peace.
Ezra Taft Benson, one of my favorite humans ever. another quote by James Sale. And he says, the step of at the highest level is to forget everything we knew before, in a sense, to allow the transformation to occur, to let go rather than try to force ourselves to change with rules.
or practices. That’s one to meditate on. Just kind of mull over.
With that said, there anything else you want leave our audience with today, John?
John (34:25)
⁓ I just think the next time asks you, who are you? best response is I am who I am and let it go at that. You know, you are who you are.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (34:39)
I name that God gives Himself, and He wants us to use sacredly. I am. I
John (34:41)
Damn.
Yeah, because
can’t be defined. mean, in all reality, we are such incredible creatures. We defined in a sense. And we can’t be defined terminology because we are so than that.
Jennifer Stirling-Campbell (34:58)
