God is real. He wants you to know. Satan is real too. But he doesn’t want you to know. He wants you to be blind and depressed. This is Part 2 of John’s story. In this episode, he shares experiences of spiritual warfare. He also stresses the reality of angels and demons. Most importantly, he speaks of the importance of faith. Although blessed with many spiritual gifts, John asked God for additional gifts that allowed him to see souls and angels. Additionally, his desire to serve God allowed for the intercession of saints and divine graces. Some of the saints John meets included Mary the mother of Jesus and Jesus himself. This discussion culminates in a dramatic confrontation with Satan, illustrating the ongoing battle between good and evil.
Additionally, John and Jennifer explore the teachings of Jesus and the role and unique role of the Holy Ghost. The discussion emphasizes the individual and interconnectedness of every human soul, the impact our actions have on ourselves and others, and highlights the incredible power prayer. If you haven’t listened to Part 1 yet, you will want to go back and listen to that (#17) first!
What is a Soul and How to See Souls
In last week’s podcast, John talked briefly about being able to “see souls.” But what does a soul look like?
I’m not saying that John or I are the world’s expert on this, but this is what we have observed and gathered through our own experience:
Souls seem to be made up of light, or energy. It manifests as different colors in different people. Some cultures call this “the aura.” Perhaps this is a visual manifestation of “the light of Christ” that each of us is born with. It comes from an inner light that can not be put out!
However, pain/sin/karma is part of living in this physical world. When we don’t regularly process/repent/forgive/let go of the darkness within and around us, it has a tendency to accumulate. This can manifest as depression!
Worth of a Soul is Great
The worth of a soul is great. And from personal observance, it seems that the brighter a person’s light, the closer that person is to God. When a person’s light is dull or murky, this suggests that the person is hurting terribly, and has distanced or blocked themselves from the light that can heal them. This was me for many many years! If this is you, take heart because THERE IS LIGHT INSIDE OF YOU THAT CAN CARRY YOU THROUGH THE DARKNESS AND HEAL YOU FROM THE INSIDE OUT!
Aura Colors and Aura Color Meanings
All colors (aura colors / soul colors) are beautiful, just as all people are beautiful! Here are some “general” meanings behind each color:
Red: (root chakra/grouding): dominance, power, action, motivation, ambition, leadership, will power, passion, sexual energy, romantic love.
Pink: softness, kindness, friendliness, nurturing, calming, love, childlike.
Orange: (sacral chakra/creativity): energy, enthusiasm, excitement, attention seeking, thrill, warmth, intensity of emotions, connection/intimacy.
Blue: (throat chakra/communication): knowledge, openness, royalty, loyalty, tranquility, calm, serenity, stability, reliability, security, sometimes sadness
Green: (heart chakra/connection): equilibrium, prosperity, compassion, growth, balance, harmony, relaxation, renewal, vitality
Yellow: (solar plexus chakra/life-force/personal power): optimism, joy, enthusiasm, playfulness, sociability, cheer, inquisitiveness, original thought, can be overpowering
Purple: (crown chakra/intuition/connection to higher power): Nobility, luxury, wealth, wisdom, spirituality, creativity, abundance, can be frustration or arrogance,
Brown: stability, reliability, solidness, strength, resilience, safety, groundedness, color of nature and earthiness, can be stubbornness, isolation,
Grey: neutrality, detachment, lack of emotion, balance, impartiality, loss, depression
Silver: graciousness, justice, dignity, unbiasedness, industriousness, perseverance, emotionality, sleekness, ornate, quiet wealth, perseverance, patience, discerning
Gold: success, charisma, wealth, achievement, winning, triumph, luxury, prestige, extravagance, status, grace/blessing, can be pride
Black: authority, mystery, secrecy, seduction, darkness, painful emotion, and traumas
White: innocence, peace, purity, simplicity, cleanliness
Fun fact: When every color of light is combined in perfect balance, the resulting color is WHITE. This causes me to wonder…are divine angels perfectly white and brilliant because they are so “perfected” that every spectrum and color of light shines perfectly and brilliantly within them?
How To see my aura / Soul
“But I want to see my aura!” Ok! you can look in the mirror and follow the steps BELOW. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t like what you see; John and I have been there! A murky or dark soul just means that there is a journey ahead and work to do 🙂
Seeing things spiritually can take practice, but I believe anyone can do this! Here is my recommendation for your practice:
What is a soul and how do I see it?
- Start with a tree, an animal, or possibly a willing human subject. 🙂 John and I agree that staring at unsuspecting people is a bit intrusive and rude, though I do sometimes practice by looking at people’s backs during church service….
- Pray/ask intentionally for clarity, protection, discernment, and anything else that you feel inspired to ask for before beginning your practice.
- Look slightly to the side of your subject of focus and relax your vision. Do not look directly at the subject or focus your vision directly on it. Rather, try to look past or through the subject. This is similar to looking at optical illusion artwork (you know…the 3-D wall art that frequented every doctor’s office in the 90’s).
- Slow your breath and observe. Allow/give yourself permission to see, but do not expect or try to force anything to happen. You might see a slightly-colored outline begin to form and pulse/move outward or around your subject of focus.
- Express gratitude to God and to the subject for allowing you to see and learn. Ask any questions that come to your mind and observe what comes up. If the answer is accompanied by peace, it is from God. If it is accompanied by anything else, consider it an opinion that may NOT be true.
Special cameras also exist that can capture the “invisible” light of the human aura and take a picture of it. I’ve done this several times (just for fun). Different colors generally suggest different strengths or tendencies.
What color(s) do you think shine brightest in you?

Mark 11:23 – God is Real – Be Thou Moved
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Ether 12:30 – God is Real – the Brother of Jared
For the brother of Jared said unto the mountain Zerin, Remove—and it was removed. And if he had not had faith it would not have moved; wherefore thou workest after men have faith.

Helaman 10:4-7 – God is Real – all things shall be done unto thee according to thy word, for thou shalt not ask that which is contrary to my will
Blessed art thou Nephi, for those things which thou hast done; for I have beheld how thou hast with unwearingness declared the word, which I have given unto thee, unto this people. And thou hast not feared them, and hast not sought thine own life, but hast sought my will, and to keep my commandments.
And now, because thou hast done this with such unwearingness, behold I will bless thee forever; and I will make thee mighty in word and in deed, in faith and in works; yea, even that all things shall be done unto thee according to thy word, for thou shalt not ask that which is contrary to my will.

Behold, thou art Nephi, and I am God. Behold, I declare unto thee in the presence of mine angels, that ye shall have power over this people, and shall smite the earth with famine, and with pestilence, and with destruction, according to the wickedness of this people.
Behold, I give unto you power, that whatsoever ye shall seal on earth shall be sealed in heaven; and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven; and thus shall ye have power among this people.
Matthew 14:22-31 – God is Real – Why Did You Doubt?
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
“Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

Full Transcript: Episode 22: God is Real. Satan is Real Too.
Speaker 2 (00:00)
God is real. Satan is real. When we talk about angels versus demons on this podcast, we mean that quite literally. This is part two of John’s incredible story. And if you’re listening to this and you haven’t listened to part one yet, this is your cue to push pause and go back and listen to part one first, because you really do need
the backstory and context that Part 1 provides in order to understand the rest of the story.
John’s story is incredible. Thank you for coming back for Part 2, John!
Speaker 1 (00:54)
It’s a pleasure, thank you for inviting me back.
Speaker 2 (00:57)
And this time you have fancy schmancy equipment that I encouraged you to buy.
Speaker 1 (01:04)
I have upgraded my 12 year old computer system to something a little more modern. Yeah, definitely working a little bit better than the old one. Well, one of the things I did want to mention you had asked me
Satan he exists. Why does he try and keep himself hidden from the world? And probably the easiest answer is knowledge is power. If you don’t know a threat is coming, then you tend not to take action to prevent it.
instance, if you don’t know a threat exists, then you’re just going to live your life normally without taking the proper precautions and then you’re going to be completely blindsided when that threat does happen. So it is really important to know that Satan does exist and it makes his job that much
easier if people do not believe in him or do not know of his existence or suspect anything in that regard. Oftentimes I run the walking down the street and someone from above you drops a brick. The brick is falling. It’s going to hit you.
Somebody sees the brick realizes you don’t. Do you want them to shout out the warning and say, ‘look out?’ or come over and push you out of the way so the brick, doesn’t hit you or do you want them to remain quiet, not say anything. And then just watch as the brick smacks you on the head and takes you out or knocks you over or whatever.
That’s A good analogy to the way Satan is. He would prefer if all the bystanders look around and don’t do anything. They don’t warn people, they don’t see it, and they hope that you don’t look up. Especially if they yell, hey there’s a brick falling, look up. He doesn’t want you to look up because he wants you to keep saying, ‘Why do I have to look up? There’s no such thing as bricks. Nothing’s going to hit me on the head,’ until it’s too late and the brick hits you. No matter how much you try and pretend he doesn’t exist, how much you try to pretend he doesn’t have an influence in your life, he does exist. He does have influence and he hates you and he is going to take action, you know, and that’s
Speaker 2 (04:00)
He has a plan for you just like God does. Quite literally.
Speaker 1 (04:04)
Yeah,
yeah, Satan doesn’t like it that God’s winning. He doesn’t like the fact that God wins. So he attacks every soul for the sheer enjoyment that he can look at God and say, ‘Ha ha, I win, you didn’t.’ I mean, that’s why I call him a brat. He is a spoiled brat. And the way he views things is along that mentality. He does things simply for spite.
Speaker 2 (04:32)
You think about children who are acting like a spoiled brat, which all of us occasionally did when we were children, during tantrums. And our parents, because they’re so much bigger than we are, have the power to pick us up and force us out of the situation or to go a certain way.
don’t know that, which is kind of funny to watch, but we do have that power because we are bigger than them.
I see that as a reality for him. He knows he doesn’t have the power but he’s just going to try to make things less pleasant.
for us because he just spites and eats so much.
Speaker 1 (05:10)
You mean, Satan doesn’t have power over God.
Speaker 2 (05:13)
Right.
And something you said about that I want to say that I’m going to ask my mother permission before I publish this because I want to make sure it’s okay with her. But told me that she’s always known God was real.
and that the reason she knows God is real is because she knows Satan is real. But I think that that’s another side that if Satan can convince us that
he doesn’t exist, then maybe it’s harder to believe that a god exists either.
Speaker 1 (05:49)
Yeah, that’s true. You can look at it from that perspective and I can verify what your mother has said because that happens to me quite often, especially whenever I go help people. I’ll wake up in the morning totally exhausted and I’ll be like, ‘Oh, I had a night,’ but I don’t remember everything. there are, and there have been cases where God has wiped my memory or allowed me to forget would be a better analogy because a lot of the
memories and the knowledge at the time is crucial for the formation of the soul, but it can be detrimental for the humanity, the human, the material side of me to remember all the experiences. Like one of the. Yeah, it’s, too much. And one of the, one of the stories I can relate later on today during my development is that
Jesus actually allowed me to partake of his crucifixion. I experienced it as if it was happening, as if I was there. Right now, years later, I just have vague recollections, but the impact on my soul is still so significant that I don’t even have to remember all the specific details and I’ll just start breaking into tears.
Heart aches.
Speaker 2 (07:19)
Now with that said, think some listeners might cry, blasphemy! Because how could someone experience what Christ did? Only he could do that. Can you talk a little bit to that to maybe help people understand what you’re saying? That you’re not saying, I’m as good as Christ. I went through what Christ did.
Speaker 1 (07:36)
No,
no, no. I’m not seeing it from his perspective. He gives me what he’s thinking at the time, but as I was watching it, as if I was on the sidelines, as if I was in the crowd and seeing what they were doing to him. That’s how I understand it.
Speaker 2 (07:57)
Kind of a vicarious, you feel the pain for him as a third party watching.
Speaker 1 (08:03)
Yeah, it’s… imagine if this would probably be better for parents. Imagine you’re a parent and you’re sitting there watching someone torture your child and that pain that you feel from that experience. That’s kind of what it was like. I mean, that’s what it was like for the apostles, that were there and those that were following Jesus and watching these events unfold.
They loved him so much. And then to see what the Romans were doing to him and not only what the Romans were doing to him, but the other people, jeers, the curses, the just, yeah, it’s, it’s very, very impactful. And I mean, I questioned him at times, you know, what were you thinking, what was this, what’s going on? watching humans
do what they did to another human? Yeah, I mean I get that way now with some of the bad things whenever I see it on TV, which is why I try not to watch too much.
Speaker 2 (09:11)
Even when I don’t see things on TV, there’s been times when I’m pained by what I’m watching the way that humans treating other humans.
Speaker 1 (09:18)
Yeah, it’s one of those things. Yeah. So, so please do not say, No I am nowhere near Christ’s level or the things that he did. It was all just a lesson. And it was like, I was on the sidelines and just by being on the sidelines, experiencing portions of those events, just tore my heart apart.
I understood; I have a greater understanding of what he went through. And it’s just like, ‘Wow….’ you know, how much he loves don’t quite remember everything I did that night, but it left such an impression on my soul that I know I’ll never forget it.
Speaker 2 (10:04)
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (10:05)
and
those feelings, those emotions will come to the surface very easily. Not Impactful.
Speaker 2 (10:11)
And I I
believe that our spirit remembers literally everything and why it can testify of truth is it’s seen everything upwards, downwards, everywhere remembers pre-existence, everything we’ve ever been through, everything that ever happened behind us, like literally everything. And so it’s all in that computer motherboard of ours, spiritual, spiritual wise.
that we can access, but just like computers, they can kind of be hidden away in places that are hard to access.
Speaker 1 (10:44)
Yes, exactly. I agree with you as well. and that’s like when we feel the final judgment, when God takes you and He’ll replay your life not only do you see it from your experience, but he will show you how your actions affected everybody else around you. So you literally see that domino effect of repercussion, be it good or be it bad. that’s what
full thing is like. So yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:14)
Pretty cool, honestly. I’m excited. I’m sure there’s going to be things that I find out that I didn’t know and I’m feeling like, dang it, I didn’t realize that that thing I said hurt that many people or had that effect. Ouch! But I think it’s something we can all look forward to. Even if you didn’t live the best life, it’s a learning opportunity.
Speaker 1 (11:36)
Yeah, I do that all the time. If something happens and I don’t know everything, God hasn’t said anything…. Okay God; bookmark. Put a bookmark. When we do the life review, you’re going to explain this because I don’t get it right now, but you’re going to explain it to me someday. Okay? And you know, He kind of chuckles and He’s like, okay.
Speaker 2 (11:55)
So where we left off in your story last time, and I’m excited because this is the first time I’ve heard it, but you’d ended with the vision you had where it was almost like a face-off. A choice. choice between Satan and God. You your choice. And you chose God…. I’m sure everyone who’s listened knows this because you listened to part one.
That’s where we ended. And you said there’s lots more to the story. So that’s what we’re here to delve into now.
Speaker 1 (12:29)
What I want to do now is like you suggested, I’m going to pick up
sort of where we left off. And I just want to go over the formation how I started to change, because you have part one, which covers the buildup. And God said, “Now we’re going to start. Now I’m going to show how He began building on everything that happened at the end of part one.
Speaker 2 (12:48)
Yeah, it begins.
Speaker 1 (12:56)
And especially those of you who thought that last vision where I made the choice was the end of it…. Not in the slightest because as we started this broadcast, Satan does not give up and trust me, I wish he did. wish he did. When I say things didn’t ease up, you would assume that the death of Beth would be worst.
That’s how it began. A year after her murder, one of my grandmothers died who I was close to.
The following year, my best friend committed suicide.
Speaker 2 (13:40)
The year after.
Speaker 1 (13:43)
he was another friend, his name was Dave, but yes, he was, it was actually me, Dave, and Beth. They were the first two friends. He was a best friend to me. knew him before I met Carl.
Again, it was Beth, my grandmother, then Dave. The next year, my other grandmother died. So that’s four years in a row that I’m going to major funerals. Two years later, so I had a year off. Then my great uncle died.
Both of my grandfathers died when I was really young. So my great uncle stepped in and took on that role. Then the year after that, Carl, who was such a big influence in my life, he was almost killed.
Speaker 2 (14:32)
He was almost killed?
Speaker 1 (14:34)
Yeah, he survived.
Speaker 2 (14:36)
I
was afraid he was gonna die too. Not Carl!
Speaker 1 (14:41)
Yeah, he’s not the same anymore. Basically, he had a disagreement with a baseball bat when somebody tried to murder him. So that’s and again, that’s a whole But basically, he was trying to help somebody and that person betrayed him and set him up and tried to have him killed because of it. Again, it’s….
As my mom used to say, she’s like, ‘You always seem to befriend the people who are in the most troubled situations in life.’ And it’s like, ‘No I just find people and I help people and I do what I can.’ But he did survive. But his memory and stuff is nowhere near like it used to be because they had to actually remove a part of his brain from the damage that he took. And again, that’s a whole other
whole other story.
These were intense years of hardship. So after everything I went through, that I had all this going on in the material world, and I really saw humanity at its worst, even from within my own family, my own circle of friends, I just saw how people fought and bickered over stupid things, greed, betrayal.
And of course, depression…. I saw depression affecting different people through all of these different things that were going on. You would think with all of this happening, as Carl used to say, he’s like, how are you still sane? How are you normal? Why aren’t you addicted to drugs? And why aren’t you an alcoholic? And, I call these years the years of hell because they were.
Speaker 2 (16:25)
I have a year of that. I call it the best and worst year of my life because it was just brutally, brutally difficult, but I learned so, so much so fast. I don’t know if that was the case for you, but…
Speaker 1 (16:39)
That was it. Even though these were years of hell, God never abandoned me. He was always there to support me. He loved me. He encouraged me. And there were times when I could not go any further and I was just like, I’m going to give up. I’m done. And Jesus would come in and carry me.
One of the best defenders, supporters that I had was my guardian angel, Demidelon. He was firm with me and he was gentle, protective. I also then got to see the best in humanity. I loyalty,
courage, generosity didn’t expect it People who I thought would be the greatest of friends and it turns out they weren’t. And then people who I didn’t think cared turned out to be some of the most caring, generous, loving people I’ve ever known. And so that’s why it’s really interesting how when you have these really bad scenarios,
it really does put people to the test and you get to see sides of them that you wouldn’t see otherwise. Yeah. though I call them my “hell years,” my quote “hell years….” they were also some of the most formative and the best years because I learned so much, especially about people, the good side, the bad side.
And I moved forward basically. So again, going back to those who are in depression, those who are fighting and thinking that there is no light to the end of the tunnel. It’s hard. Sometimes it can be very, very hard, but trust me, you just go through, you force yourself through, you never give up. And trust me from someone who has been there through it
and has come out to the other side. It’s worth it. The struggle is worth it because you learn things about yourself even that you didn’t know. You learn a strength that you have that you didn’t even know existed. That’s pretty much where my development happened in the years that followed. of that was a lot of spiritual
Did you have any questions up to this point, Jennifer?
Speaker 2 (19:16)
You know I’ll just interject if I do. That’s my style. Drives my husband crazy. But I was talking. No, that’s what I do to him all the time.
Speaker 1 (19:25)
Nah
Okay, all right, so I’m gonna talk a little bit more about things I can do and again, the spiritual side of events. First of all, it might not be surprising, but I discovered that my gift for seeing angels isn’t limited to them. I learned that if I focus and direct myself, I can actually see a human soul as well. I can see the souls within humans to a certain degree.
Not as strong as I can with angels and the other side, but human souls to me are kind of blurry, cloud-like, but they have varying hues of light.
Speaker 2 (20:10)
Would you say that is the aura? that what you’re seeing?
Speaker 1 (20:13)
If you could say that as another type of an analogy.
Speaker 2 (20:19)
I see that if I try really, really hard. It’s not something I see all the time.
Speaker 1 (20:26)
see different shades, different hues, and those souls that are closer to God shine brighter, whereas those further away are more dark and shadowy.
Speaker 2 (20:40)
Would do you say, kind of murky?
Speaker 1 (20:43)
Yeah, murky would be a good, good analogy. And, ⁓ like you had mentioned, I don’t like to do it. Number one, it does require a little bit more effort on my part. And when you’re sitting there staring at somebody, you know, they’re like, Hey, why are you looking at me?
Speaker 2 (20:57)
I’ll do it at church on people’s backs. Because you’re looking forward anyway.
Speaker 1 (21:03)
Yeah, and me personally, I think it’s a little bit rude, you know, without permission, a little bit awkward. So anyway, I told Carl that I could do that. And again, Carl was the master of simplistic suggestion. He’s like, “So you can look at other people’s souls.” And I was like, “Yeah.” “Did you ever do it to yourself?” “What?” “Yeah.
Look at your own soul. If you can look at other people’s soul, why don’t you look at your own soul and see what God sees?” I was like, dang, that’s a great idea. Yeah, let me do this. This is going to be awesome. So I went home. I said a prayer to St. Michael. There’s a St. Michael exorcism, a short exorcism. And I said, because I wanted to eliminate any other distractions, I sat in front of a mirror and I said, “God,
Let me see my soul as you see it.”
I have never been more terrified than I was at that moment. It’s like everything went black, like dark. And I was just horrified at how pitch black and twisted my soul was, like darkness. And I’m like, my, what have I done? What am I doing? How did I screw up this bad? And
before I had cried too much, Demideleon appeared and he put his hand on my shoulder and he said, “Look again.” He says, “Look deeper. focus.” I did. And I focused beyond the outer lying darkness. And then I saw a sputtering flame around my heart.
It was sputtering, but it was fighting back against darkness. And then I looked and I saw these other little tiny lights sputtering, but fighting and hope. was suddenly filled with hope and I was like, There is light. There is something for me to focus on. There is hope. I just knew; I just had to focus on those good elements;
those parts of me that were still was still devoted to God, and if I focused on those sputtering lights, I just need to turn a sputtering flame into an inferno to the point where it destroyed whatever darkness was still left clinging.
Speaker 2 (23:47)
Yeah, or transform
it. I think some of the things I have seen, because I did that one time, or a few times, I looked in the mirror and wasn’t sure what I was going to see. And was asking specifically, like, help me to see what’s in and around me, Where am I at? And it shocked me as well, almost like the eyes got black and then I saw a face, but it wasn’t a nice face.
And I believe it was, in my case, ancestors that I was carrying, that I also had some of those similar same issues that were not getting reconciled yet. I stopped and was like, I, whoa, whoa, that was a lot. Kind of shocked me, but I was like, ‘Okay, I still have quite a bit of work to do, don’t I?’
Speaker 1 (24:36)
Yeah, it-
Speaker 2 (24:37)
But for me it wasn’t a, ‘I’m a horrible person,’ because by this point I’d learned kind of how things work, more or less…. That the darkness doesn’t make you bad, it just means, ⁓ ‘Oh, there’s something there that I need to address.’
Speaker 1 (24:50)
Yeah, you need to work on these parts. Yeah. And I’ll also say it’s like residual. Kind of like going to confession, just because you feel bad about something doesn’t mean it just automatically gets wiped away. There’s a process. You gotta clean the room. We get into a dirty room, you’re not just going to go, BOOM! And suddenly it’s clean.
Speaker 2 (25:12)
I see
that it’s dirty. I’m sorry I made it dirty.
Speaker 1 (25:15)
Yeah,
I dirtied this room. got to start somewhere. So I might as well just start cleaning away. then I decided at that point, it’s dive headfirst into this and, ⁓ over the next few months, I made more headway than I in my entire life. I started learning everything I could. I read everything I could.
Demideleon would instruct me and he would tell me how to do my prayers. If I wasn’t praying correctly, he would comment on me. If I was slouching, he would tell me, up, you know, just these little things; pay attention to the little things.
Speaker 2 (25:56)
Give us some of his tips for praying correctly.
Speaker 1 (26:02)
Well, it’s kind of funny, but tips change over the years, because you learn different things at different times. And at that point I needed structure very badly because I didn’t have any. So he was very intent on teaching me structure. Like when I would pray, he would say, “All right, I want you to kneel. I want you to keep your back straight. Stay and keep focused straight ahead.
Focus on the prayer, focus from the heart.” He says, “It’s more the will you have to will the prayer to God Don’t just say the words; quit saying the words focus on the words.” So he would do things like that and taught me the foundation by which to pray. And now years later I can just my mind into that
mindset and pray from the heart. Say what you mean, mean what you say. And that is the most crucial part of prayer. It’s not necessarily just saying a dozen words. mean, yeah, God will say, ‘Okay, I’ll give you grace because I said I will.’ But later on, it was revealed to me that a single Hail Mary
said with devotion in a time of turmoil is worth more than an entire rosary said during a time of consolation. And what God meant by that is you can have all this hardship going on in your life, but if you are able to say a single truly devout prayer; just one prayer!
At that moment, it is worth more in His eyes and in His heart than, ‘Okay; nothing bad’s going on. I’m sitting here. It’s an air conditioned room. I’m fine. And I’m just going to rattle off a bunch of words.’ So intent is everything. The will is everything.
right. So that’s kind of how he taught me to pray. And I began to do so. Then I was being attacked a lot, and I’m like, all right, I need some advice on how to fight back. I says, “Can you introduce me to St. Michael?” I had read St. Michael, kicked Satan out of Heaven, the biggest angel that is; the head general. And it’s like, “Well, he talked to St. Joan of Arc and he talked to these other famous saints, so I said, “Do you think you could do something for me?” DemiDeleon kind of chuckeled, and he’s like, “I’ll talk, I’ll talk.” And then I met St. Michael. He’s like, “You want some advice?” I’m like, cool. And he began to teach me a lot of things and he introduced me to the of the angelic choir.
Speaker 2 (28:55)
you
Speaker 1 (29:04)
I learned about the nine choirs of angels.
Speaker 2 (29:10)
Nine choirs, like the number nine?
Speaker 1 (29:12)
That the nine choirs, the angels, it’s a very militaristic-style hierarchy; there’s three sets of three. So you have the upper three, then the middle three, and then the lower three. There’s nine total choirs in all. And each level, each group have their own responsibilities with regards to God and doing things for him and whatnot.
Of course, I started veering more towards the more militant of the angels because there are some angels whose job is to praise God. There’s other angels whose job is to bestow gifts and graces. And then of course, we all have our own individual guardian angel, and you can have more than one depending on your calling in life. he taught me all about them, how to pray for different angels If I want different things who
is the proper chain of command as it were. There’s a chaplet called the St. Michael’s Chaplet that was given to a saint as a series of prayers to pray in honor of the angels. And after awhile, eventually he appeared and he gave me the title, ‘Friend of the Angels.’ He says, because of your devotion to us, and your recognition of us and your love for us. He says, “We consider you a friend,” and that they would never forsake me regardless of what I did from that point on, because I had earned that reward. As a side note, all the angels can appear however they want, especially size wise and whatnot. And a lot of the angels that I do see like
my own guardian angel maybe were about 10 foot high. I mean, they’re pretty big. People have often asked me, ‘You saw St. Michael. Do you know how big he is?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I did see him once more akin to his actual height.’ And I’ll tell you, anyone who’s been to New York city. If you see the empire state building St. Michael could use it as a baseball bat. That is how.
massive of an angel he is.
Speaker 2 (31:29)
So when God said He will allow Satan to bruise his heel, He’ll give Adam the power to crush his head. That’s quite literally.
Speaker 1 (31:40)
yeah. and Satan in his true form is actually pretty massive as well. He comes up to about St. Michael’s chest as far as height goes. So he is pretty in that regard, but power-wise, yeah, he’s nothing. Not compared to the angels. The angels got him beat because of that fall and whatnot.
And then after I learned about the angels, then it started about the saints. And I some other faiths get the false notion that, ‘Oh why would you pray to saints? You should pray only directly to God and God alone,’ all of this. And I agree. I mean, I pray directly to God all the time. I pray for different things. At the same token. If I need help….
even on the the human world, if I need help with something, I go to my friends and ask them for help. Same idea with the saints. Just because someone has died and passed over into the heavenly realm does not mean that they have forgotten the people that are still down here. A lot of them want to continue helping us. They’d like to intercede for us.
So that’s why I will pray to a saint. I pray to them. I’m not worshiping them. Correct. A lot of people get that false notion. It’s no, I ask them to intercede because I know that if I ask God for something, God would be like, “Okay.” But if I get a few dozen of my friends together and we all ask God for something, He’s like, “Okay; now I get it. I’ll….” you know, they put a good word in.
Speaker 2 (33:00)
You’re not worshipping them.
So you’re saying that God can change his mind, essentially, based on agency and desires?
Speaker 1 (33:31)
Yes.
Which goes also back to the teaching of Jesus where he says “Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am.” Well, don’t limit yourself to just people here on earth. I mean if you can get a saint to come down and help you and pray with you at the same time, that promise still holds true. You get God’s attention. Not that you couldn’t get God’s attention because He’s always there always listening
Speaker 2 (33:58)
I think that should be encouragement especially to people who feel alone. Like, ‘Nobody gets me. I don’t understand,’ You know, ‘God must not understand me either.’ And because I think a lot of people will personify God as a human being with human traits.
Speaker 1 (34:15)
Yeah, yeah, you don’t limit it to that.
-Speaker 2 (34:18)
Right?
Speaker 1 (34:20)
Yeah,
-Speaker 2 (34:20)
He is like us in a lot of ways, but He’s perfect.
Speaker 1 (34:24)
Yes, perfect, perfect, Anyway, so I was like, I’m talking to the angels now and whatnot, I want to talk to some of the saints and get their help. And one of the things I learned was that so many people don’t recognize the saints, even within my own religion that I was praying around and nobody cared about asking saints for help. And I’m like,
This is really sad because I kept getting the feeling that they wanted me to ask. They wanted to intervene. Now that they found somebody who was actually going to listen, who’s actually going to request help, they wanted to help. So I placed a pad and pen next to my bed and I was like, “All right, any saint if you want me to pray to you, just show up. I’ll write your name down and I’ll
get this relationship going.
Days passed. Nothing. Weeks. Nothing. No responses. No saints were showing up. And this really started to confuse me. I was like, man, I get the impression they want to talk, but nobody’s coming.
And this was where I learned another lesson about…. Tere’s how I think things should go. And then there’s ways God thinks things should happen. I’m a very visual person. I’m very logical, but I’m also very visual. In my quest for knowledge at the back of our church, there is always a place for leaflets and pamphlets and cards.
And I was collecting them. I would collect them. I was like, here’s a cool prayer; here’s a cool this or this this this…. and I was collecting the day came I went to put some prayer cards into the box and the box was full And I’m like…’Wait a minute….’
In my collection, I had collected dozens upon dozens of individual saint cards with no duplicates. They were answering my prayer. They were saying yes, but not the way I expected. I looked and I just went, and there they were; all these pictures of all these different saints. And it’s like, “Here we go!” Again, it’s like they answered me not in the way that I
thought they would.
After I went through and I just felt which saints seemed to be the strongest. And the first novena I did was to Saint Teresa the little flower. She was a very simple person, a very humble saint. And after you pray to her, one of the ways that you know that she’s interceding is she always gives a person a rose at some point during the novena. So I did the novena.
And I got a rose. And then next thing I know, she shows up. And I’m like, “Hi.”
And so we just had a really brief conversation. She then introduced me to another saint. His name is Saint Pio of Petrolacina.
If there’s any Catholics listening to this broadcast, they will recognize some of these names. So he began to intercede. He introduced himself to me He usually leave the scent of cigars whenever he’s answering my prayers as a little indication that yeah, he’s there. Then I started talking to St. Philomena. She appeared to me and we talked. And then she introduced me to St.
Gemma Giogani, who then became another one of my intercessors. And every time they appeared, they would all give me little lessons. I a little bit about their lives, a little bit about their struggles. Although Giogani was the funny one. When she appeared, when St. Philomena is like, I want to introduce you to somebody and out came this young girl and she says, “I am Gemma Giogani.” I’m like, ⁓ “Cool, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Well, tell me about yourself. And she’s like, “Look me up. There’s books on me. Go from there.” I’m like, fine. You’re going to make me read. did. And then I’ve talked to various saints on occasion. They’ve visited. They’re not with me as persistently as the angels are, I would say, because it’s the angels job. Again, you got that whole hierarchy.
But they do show up occasionally, especially if I want to talk to them or if I have a question, they’ll usually pop in, answer, and then pop out. It just depends on the scenario. can see God was slowly building this foundation. So he got me in talking to the angels, got Demideleon in my life, got St. Michael, some others. Then I started talking to saints,
introduced me to them. They were now involved in my life. And then once my foundation was strong enough,
introduced me to the Virgin Mary. She finally appeared and introduced herself to me. That’s Jesus’s mom. And I tell you, just, I cannot describe what her presence is like.
Not since I had spoken to the Eternal Father had I felt such a strong, holy, loving She was beyond all human description. Loving….
everything. And so she introduced herself and said she wanted me to start praying the rosary and asking for her intervention. She wanted to intervene now on my behalf. And there were things that she wanted to teach me. like I said,
if Mary appears more often than any other saint, she will still come and talk to me and I’ve had so many awesome things happen when Mary comes. And Mary is also one of those saints. I mean, she’s Jesus’s mom. The demons run. I will know that she is coming before she ever shows up because they will scatter like cockroaches. They will run
before she even comes anywhere near them because they are so terrified of her and what she does.
Speaker 2 (41:31)
Why are they so….
Like what is it that she does that scares them?
Speaker 1 (41:38)
She loves God. She was so devoted. She is the perfect example of God’s plan for humanity. She was perfection. Where Satan told God, ‘No,’ Mary told God, ‘Yes.’ She loves humans. She, you know, as, as,
That’s so hard to describe. But Satan despises her. He despises her. He hates her, but he can’t stand up to her. He can’t even stay near her because she is perfect reflection of God.
Speaker 2 (42:23)
That’s what I want to be when I grow up.
Speaker 1 (42:24)
Humanity
Yeah, it’s It’s wow. I mean she’s just…. There’s no human way to describe her other to say that, man, if you want somebody on your side…. Her. If no other angel, no other saint. Her. Get Mary on your side, which is very easy to I aways say it’s one of those things like….
If God doesn’t want to do something, Jesus is like, ⁓ I know you’re asking this of me, but I really don’t want to do it…. Ask Mary to intervene because He cannot refuse her anything, Say, ‘Hey Mary, can you talk to Jesus about this?’ And she’ll be like, ‘Okay.’ And Jesus was like, ‘Okay Mom, fine for you. I’ll do it.’ You know, it’s one of, it’s one of those things. He loves her so much.
And He cannot deny her anything. Man, yeah, if you get Mary on your side, double thumbs up kudos because she, she is. Wow. I would say she’s strong and powerful, but I mean, she that that goes without statement. Like I said, she’s given me many graces but one of the most powerful gifts she gave me, one time I was praying and she appeared.
And she said she wanted to give me a very special grace that night. But I had to promise not to open my eyes. If I opened my eyes, she would have to leave. And I was like, okay.
And then I kept praying and then all of sudden my room.
It began to smell of roses and then it began, then it lit up. It lit up with this warm, comforting, brilliant light. It was so bright that even with my eyelids closed, it was like I was looking at the noonday sun. And the right through my eyelids. This overwhelming warmth.
encompassed me and I literally felt God’s love seep into every portion of my soul at that moment. And it was one of the most incredible experiences I had ever received. And she was giving me these graces. She said, ‘I asked God, here they are.’ At the time,
I didn’t know why, but I was soon to find out why she gave me those graces.
Speaker 2 (45:08)
And what do you mean by graces? Are we going to find out? that coming?
Speaker 1 (45:13)
Yeah, basically a grace is a blessing by God. God gives you, he strengthens your soul. He can strengthen you physically, but he can also strengthen your soul, cause it to ascend higher in his love…. I guess would be a kind of an analogy. It’s one of those graces….
Speaker 2 (45:31)
So that you’re ready
for what’s coming.
Speaker 1 (45:34)
Yes, so that you’re ready for what’s coming get and that’s the next major event that happened in my life.
I was very devoted to God at this point. Mary intervening in my life was another major milestone. And while all of this was happening; all this good, awesome, God-centered learning was happening. I was growing in leaps and bounds. I often comment, some people burn a candle at both ends. I lit the candle on both ends, got out the flame
thrower and dropped napalm on the poor candle. Just incinerated. That’s the type of depth and how fast and furious my love for God began to grow and how devoted I became. Well, there was one very, very unhappy individual who did not like what was happening. Lucifer was mad.
Speaker 2 (46:37)
Who could that be?
Speaker 1 (46:41)
He did not want me to change. He didn’t want all of his years of hard work to go for naught. So basically, after all those years, a short span of time in comparison, God had not only totally reversed everything that Satan had done, but he had expanded upon it.
Satan wouldn’t let up; he sent temptation after temptation, attack after attack. And every time God kept intervening, you know, he sent the angels to protect me, the saints, he sent his mother to protect me. And then eventually Lucifer decided to put an end to this problem– me– once and for all. At which point he went to the Eternal Father
with a challenge. And I was given to understand this afterwards.
At that time, I was under such a constant attack. I didn’t have a moment’s peace. It became so bad, I could no longer tell the difference between temptations and my own thoughts. They were mingling so much. started to pray. I was like, ‘Who am I, God? Who am I when I know not my own thoughts?’
Speaker 2 (48:08)
I think that’s most people though, like you’re you’ve become very aware. But I think the majority of the population does not know the difference between temptation and their own thoughts. They don’t separate the two. I have learned to do so when ‘this isn’t me…’ ‘This is…this is NOT me.’ But most people assume them talking or that that’s part of their identity and that makes them a ‘bad person,’ right?
Speaker 1 (48:33)
And yeah, part of the skill to grow spiritually is to learn how to differentiate that. And that, that was the point I had gotten to. I had finally reached that point; why I needed to have a deeper understanding.
After I had been praying that way, another vision happened.
There were a group of people that were trapped within a vault and a bomb was ticking away next to them. I knew I had to save them, but if I did, I would have to be willing to sacrifice myself for them.
So I did what I always do. was like, okay. I ran over. I held the door open and gave the people enough time to escape, watched as the door closed behind them and I was locked inside the vault with the bomb that continued to tick down.
Speaker 2 (49:35)
Why couldn’t you escape? I’m trying to visualize this. Why were you stuck?
Speaker 1 (49:42)
For some reason, the door could only be held open from the inside. It couldn’t be opened from the outside. It was an unusual scenario. I don’t really understand it, to be honest with you. I just knew that in order to save them, I had be willing to sacrifice myself. And in doing so, I would be…
trapped with this bomb and the bomb would kill me. If you know anything about me and my past visions, I…. Once you die a couple of times, that kind of fear
Speaker 2 (50:21)
ends. Whatever.
Speaker 1 (50:24)
Yeah.
And so I was like, okay, that’s a no-brainer for me. Done. So here I was in this vault, this room with a ticking bomb. And I just was like, ‘All right, well, I’ll just wait when it goes….’ at which point in brilliance and beauty, this angel appeared next to me and I knew immediately it was Lucifer.
He appeared in his original guise as an angel of God. And Lucifer didn’t try and hide the fact, so I saw this beautiful, how he was beautiful, but again, you learn to recognize Lucifer. There’s no cross. He carries no cross and there’s an emptiness. It’s hard to describe physically, but there he was as the angel of light.
And he looked at me and he said, “That was a most noble act to give your life for theirs.” I was like, “I suppose.” At which point he looked concerned, “But now you’re going to die. Do you know that?” I looked at the bomb. Then I looked at him and I was like, “Yep; I know.” Satan says, “But it doesn’t have to be that way.” I’m like, “Really? How so?”
Satan smiled, he’s like, “If you ask me for help, I can save you.” I’m like, “Really?” Satan nodded; he’s like, “Yes, just ask for my help.” I looked at the bomb, looked at him. “Nope.” He’s like, “But you don’t understand; you’re really going to die.” “I know.” Then he’s looked, he’s like,
“But there won’t be any coming back this time. This time is different. This time is for real.” I shrugged my shoulders and I was like, “Oh, well.” Satan looking at me, “Really? This is serious. I’m not joking.” “I know.” “I can save you. You don’t have to die.” “I know.” Satan says, “Then just.
ask for my help and I will do so.” I was like, “No.” At which point Lucifer looked really, really perplexed. Like he kind of had this scowl on his face. He’s like, “It’s okay. It’ll only be just this once. You’ll never have to accept my help again.”
Speaker 2 (52:58)
Ha
Speaker 1 (53:20)
I looked at the timer, five seconds left. I looked at Lucifer. “No.” He started getting very concerned. He says, “Please, John, just this once, just this once, let me help you. Ask me to help.” I looked at the timer, four seconds. Looked at Lucifer, “No.”
“Please, just this once. Please please; ask for my help. I don’t want you to die!” Three seconds. Looked at Lucifer. “No.” At which point he began to scream. “Please! Please please let me help you!”
And I started to see tears in his eyes. He was so frustrated. Two seconds left. I looked at him. “No.” And then he screamed, “But you, you have to!” One second was left. I looked at him, smiled, waved my hand, and said, “Bye bye.” And then the bomb exploded and I died for the third time in my life.
Speaker 2 (54:45)
You
Speaker 1 (54:45)
As the
bomb exploded, I felt an overwhelming darkness surrounded my soul, followed by a scream of anguish, rage, despair, and loss.
Speaker 2 (55:04)
age.
Speaker 1 (55:10)
As indescribable in human words are the delights of Heaven, so too is the sound from hell. And that sound I can still remember to this day and I will remember that for all eternity. It is so engraved into my very soul. And Lucifer, that was Lucifer’s scream.
And it was, it was absolutely empty. It was devoid of everything. It was just despair.
Well, as quickly as that happened, then there was a cell for himself.
Speaker 2 (55:55)
despair for himself
right? Not not sad that you had died.
Speaker 1 (56:03)
No, That scream, all those emotions, that was him. I felt his despair, his hopelessness, his rage, his sorrow, all for himself. He felt that basically that was his attempt, his
I guess that was where if I had agreed to let him help me, I would have failed that test and he would have won. But it didn’t happen that way because at that point I despised the old boy so much. I was like, no, I don’t care. Even if I die, I’m not going to accept your help. No, Forget it. So anyway, after that happened, there was a sudden rush of warmth, a bluish light, and I heard a gentle voice calling me as like, “John.
John, wake up.” And I opened my eyes and I found myself hovering a few feet above my body. And I looked up and I saw the blessed Virgin Mary smiling at me. And she spoke, she’s like, “Know that by your actions of your own free will, have you chosen God and rejected Lucifer.
Know that all claims to thy soul by Lucifer no longer apply to thee and that thy soul belongs to God and God alone now and for all time. Never again will Lucifer claim thy soul regardless of what you do from this time forward.” So she paused and let those words sink in, then smiled at me again and said,
“Also know that as a special reward for your actions, all of Lucifer’s influence and temptation has been removed from you for a time.” Then she gave me the warmest smile asked, “John, who are you?”
And then I just floated there and it was a peace akin to what I felt when I was in heaven, even though I wasn’t in heaven. And that moment, all temptation was removed from me. My thoughts were my own and I understood who I was. I understood me.
For the very first time. was there for a while. I enjoyed it. And then after I felt it was long enough, I was like, ‘All right, put me back.’ I thanked God for giving me such a precious gift. Told “Go ahead, put me back in.” I was ready. soul re-came back into my body. I breathed life again, at which point,
here came Lucifer again. He started screaming and yelling like, “How dare you reject my help? Who do you think you are? I’ll make your life a living hell. It’ll be so bad. You’ll beg God to kill you.” And he’s just started ranting, raving. But at that point, I really didn’t care. I ignored him, closed my eyes and just went back to sleep. I was like, ‘Okay, whatever. Leave me alone.’
Speaker 2 (59:42)
Hahaha
Speaker 1 (59:44)
And that was like the last big final attempt he made to try and ‘claim me’ as he said he would. And
That was when the next set of learning was going to happen.
Shortly thereafter, within a week or so, Mary appeared to me again when I was praying, except this time Jesus was with her. And Jesus said, “Now it’s time for you to learn more about me.” So God had been slowly building step by step and
I had already a strong sense of the Eternal Father, but now I was at a point spiritually where I was open to learning about Jesus. And when He appeared to me, he appeared to me like he did at the time of the apostles. He was in his thrities; like He was teaching. experience was very similar to that of the Father.
I knew Jesus was God. I just knew it. He radiated that same all-encompassing love. the same time it was restrained because we weren’t exactly in Heaven or what I refer to as the in-between area where I travel sometimes. veil was thinner. It allowed me to have interaction, but it was still protective. And from that point forward,
Jesus and Mary both began to visit and teach me. So Jesus began to take a very more proactive role in my education and my spiritual formation.
Jesus did…. It wasn’t really like He took a lot of new things, but He taught depth. So instead of breadth of knowledge, He taught depth of knowledge. He began to teach me the hidden meanings behind the lessons, kind of what he did for the apostles. He would give the parable to everybody, but then when he was away the apostles, He would then
go into detail and explain it on a deeper level. That’s how He would do things with me. He began to really hammer in the depth of the different teachings. Alot of times when this would I would appear like a little child, like six, seven years old. And there was this massive olive tree on a hillside and Jesus and Mary would
be resting beneath it in the shade, almost like a picnic setting. Sometimes I’d see St. Joseph, he would show up too. And as a little child, I would sit at their feet and I would just review my day. I would say, this is what I did today. Here was the good things. Here are some of the bad. Jesus would commend the good things I did. He would admonish the bad things. And He challenged me to thinking of experiences and
very constructive, loving way.
Speaker 2 (1:03:04)
I’ve heard people coming into contact with Jesus near death experiences, brief death experiences, and every single one of them that I’m aware of has always said that they could see with complete clarity the truth of their lives and their choices, but that they felt nothing but love from their Savior. It was just very loving. so there was no shame and guilt. The shame and guilt was coming from them, but there was nothing
shame and guilt related coming from Christ.
Speaker 1 (1:03:38)
Correct. God is a loving God. He is a God of justice, but he is also the God of truth. When He out things that you’ve done that are wrong;’ it’s from a, ‘Here’s what happened, here’s why it’s wrong. He doesn’t you. you reflect
on your action, reflect on how what you’ve done may have injured somebody else. And it’s just from a truth. So there’s shaming you. Yeah. You, you are judging yourself. the truth. You can’t lie. And, and that’s the way he does things. So it’s not shame. There’s no shame involved. There’s no negativity because He’s always constructive. He always builds you up.
Speaker 2 (1:04:15)
yourself.
Speaker 1 (1:04:34)
He does nothing to tear you down. You know, like if I lost my temper and I yelled at somebody, He’d be like, ‘Why did you lose your temper? What happened for that to occur? Why did you think getting angry was the answer? That’s kind of how He…. How He talks. It’s always questioning. It’s, it’s never direct. He always says it in a way to make you
think because He’s teaching you that’s the way He teaches. Tell ya it’s…. Now I mean it is possible disappoint Him, as I found out, but He’s always constructive and everything He says or does, He’s always loving and and sometimes I mean He can get angry but it’s not like necessarily that He’s getting angry at you he gets angry at the sin; that’s there’s a big
does not like sin and that will upset Him. And then He just admonishes you constructively if you are partaking of that sin and says, “Don’t….” like he did with the woman at the well. ‘Don’t do it again. Come on, you know, change.’ Then he began to give me more gifts. Like again….
One time when I was doing the Rosary, the Rosary’s made up of different mysteries and one of those mysteries are the sorrowful mysteries, which are the full contemplation of his agony and the crucifixion and everything that partook of. it. it. really happened, I was so filled with sorrow. I was just crying, overwhelmed
almost to the point where I couldn’t breathe. You know; it was that type of short-of-breath sorrow. He just led me through it. He says, ‘It’s not as a, not as a punishment.’ He just wanted me to understand how much He loves us that He was willing to endure all of this. And then one of the questions I had asked
when he cried when he was on the Mount of Olives, at Gethsemane. And he was, praying with the apostles and he cried tears of blood. I said, what, what upsets you the most? And He’s like, His soul was grieved because even after everything that He was about to do and that He was going to endure, He knew that there were still souls that were going to reject Him.
That there were still be people that would embrace Satan as opposed to Him.
Speaker 2 (1:07:14)
He couldn’t save– in a way– from their suffering because He doesn’t want us to suffer, right?
Speaker 1 (1:07:21)
Exactly. And that was a heavy sorrow upon His heart. And that’s why He was crying from that sorrow of the people He couldn’t save. And then I said, “Well….” Here; you want to hear a powerful one: And I said, “Well, what gave you hope at that moment? What inspired you to go through all of that?”
He looked at me and He said, “You. I saw you.”
And you want to talk about getting hit with a ton of bricks to the heart. And that was when I really understood that His love is so vast. He would willingly endure all of that just to save a single soul. He loves us so much. That’s how important we are to Him.
Speaker 2 (1:08:25)
And when you said that, I saw myself in the same place. Like he would say that to me. He would say it to all of us.
Speaker 1 (1:08:34)
Yeah, that and that goes out to everybody listening. That is how much He loves you. Literally. I know a lot of times you hear it. Well, Jesus went through his suffering. He did everything he did for the salvation of souls. Plural. Yes. he would do all of that, even if it meant your soul was the only one that got saved. That is how much the depth of his love. And even in that, that is a pale,
human analogy compared to much love there is. And I was going to be shown that later when I started asking about the Holy I wasn’t content with just…. I learned about the eternal Father. Then I learned about Jesus and I wasn’t content. And I was like, ‘All right, Holy Ghost; you’re next.
What can you tell me and teach me?’
I’ll go through one little story before I dive into that because I had one more lesson to learn– really powerful one– and that’s the power of fast and prayer. I decided to do a total fast, like no food, no water, just prayer; I prayed nonstop; I slept very little, just praying and praying. And all I just wanted to know was the truth,
at which point I don’t remember how it happened or when during that period.
I was suddenly overwhelmed with love and I had an infusion of knowledge that puts the knowledge direct into you like a download. Yeah. And the veil of this world shattered. And for the first time I saw everything with not only my spiritual senses, but my physical ones as well. I literally saw
God in everything around me. I looked at a tree outside my house and I understood that if I commanded it would uproot itself and survive upon the ocean. I knew that if I saw a mountain nearby, I said, if I told it to, it would rise and place itself and stay in midair. I literally saw everything quietly waiting for me to command them
in Jesus’ name. I mean, it, happened. I had that moment and it was so beautiful beyond my human ability to relate in any meaningful way, just that it was what it was.
And at the same moment, I understood that I didn’t need to move the trees, the mountain or anything. I understood that everything was exactly where it needed to be and was perfectly placed according to God’s design. I saw God in everything from the smallest particle of air to the largest rock. was
everywhere, in everything, in control of even the slightest movement of even the smallest ant. And yet He was separate from each so that our free will would continue unhampered by His own. And that I understood that if you united your free will to God’s out of love, giving Him control of your mind and heart,
that you could willingly partake of the perfection He keeps hidden otherwise. I learned that man has an imperfect knowledge of the perfect world around him and that God shares this knowledge with those who love Him, while Lucifer tries to keep that knowledge from man in order to destroy him.
Speaker 2 (1:12:25)
Mm-hmm.
Would you say too that our misunderstanding of the world around us leads people to disregard how we treat it and in turn how that earth treats us? Because overcoming depression for me was a lot of turning back to nature and finding that balance and respecting nature. From the things I put in my body from the way that I treated animals, just all of that where I feel like
human beings as a whole is, ‘What can you do for me and how can I use you in a way that can benefit me the most, make me the most money, etc. and those types of things…. where there aren’t necessarily in alignment with a higher law.
Speaker 1 (1:13:25)
Yes, We’ve moved away from understanding the natural world se.
When we place our faith in ourselves instead of God, that’s when things fall apart. For instance, one of the revelations I was given by a saint was the Tower of Babel. The Tower of Babel was an incredible and God said that if they had made that structure with Him in unison to His
Speaker 2 (1:13:47)
Hmm.
Speaker 1 (1:14:00)
divine will, it would still be standing to this day. But because they decided to put it in their will, their imperfect knowledge against what God wanted, that’s why it came crumbling down and was for naught. more you unite yourself to God, the more you do things with God’s will, the more
Speaker 2 (1:14:04)
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (1:14:23)
meaning it has; more in line and you’re right, the more natural, the more lasting. Yeah. And you have a better understanding because
Speaker 2 (1:14:34)
You can’t put a ton of crud in your body and expect it to function in a natural way. All these things; these chemicals that we’re feeding ourselves, for example.
Speaker 1 (1:14:43)
you got to understand too, Satan is the master of this world. Satan is smarter than the smartest humans ever put together. He knows more than we can even imagine on this And he has one goal. He wants to destroy humanity because we are God’s plan. He wants God’s plan to blow up in God’s face. It’s out of spite.
So the things that he teaches humans…
is designed to destroy humanity. So all those self-implode and that’s what we do every single time. Humanity has this great ability to self-implode because they will listen to Satan. It goes all back to the Garden of Eden.
Speaker 2 (1:15:25)
And they can even seem like really good ideas at the time. know, genius. Right.
Speaker 1 (1:15:31)
Right. And that’s the way he does it. He’ll give you a thousand truths if he can get you just to believe that one lie.
The more you love God, uniting His divine will to yours, the deeper into these secrets God will permit you to go. The more you unite your will to Lucifer’s, the more hidden these secrets become. Because the more you devote yourself to Satan, the more you think you know,
But in reality, the more he is hiding from you. To the ultimate point where we started this, where some people don’t even know that he exists. That’s part of his plan.
Speaker 2 (1:16:13)
Right.
Speaker 1 (1:16:16)
Well anyway, At this point in the zone as I say and I was no longer content. I hungered for I told God, said, “I no longer desire the faith found in a mustard seed.” I told God, “I desire the love and faith that could move the universe and even Heaven itself.”
Then I thought, I’m like, ‘No, not enough.’ I looked at Him and I said,
Speaker 2 (1:16:45)
I thought you were going to say, ‘No that’s being too greedy.’
Speaker 1 (1:16:49)
Oh no; I’m very greedy. I’m very, I’m a very greedy individual. and I looked and I said, “I want the love that can move the heart of God himself.” At which point Jesus appeared, smiled, gazed on me with such a burning love; it just ripped through me. And He just said,
“Granted.”
Speaker 2 (1:17:17)
There’s that moment.
Speaker 1 (1:17:20)
Unfortunately, that moment was very short lived. Cause as soon as He said that, I heard this growling “Who do you think you are? Who are you to ask such a thing of God? How arrogant are you?”
I knew it was Satan. I knew I shouldn’t listen. But that one second, I second guessed my own thoughts. I second guessed at that moment. At which point it ended. The veil came crashing down. Everything returned to back to the way it was. And I lost that moment. And Satan just laughed.
He laughed mockingly so much. He’s like, ‘Yeah right. I knew it.’ And he laughed. Jesus was still there. He closed his eyes and he sighed very quietly. And he says, “You were so close, John. I’m right here. Why did you doubt?”
Speaker 2 (1:18:46)
Hmm.
Speaker 1 (1:18:46)
And I had no answer to that. disappointed Jesus and ever since then I refer to that as my Peter moment.
Speaker 2 (1:18:56)
Yes, that’s exactly what I was thinking of.
Speaker 1 (1:19:00)
I said, “I get it St. Peter. I had that
So that was another key learning point and that felt bad that I disappointed Him but I said I had it so close, but no, I had a doubt. I just had a cave in for that one second. I decided I wanted to learn about the Holy ghost, seemingly the least understood of the three.
And if I said, well, if I’m going to learn about God, I wanted to know everything. I began to pray and I found an old pamphlet. It was a nine day novena to the Holy Ghost for anything, you know, a request. So I took the hint, snagged the pamphlet and I did the novena and I prayed in earnest to the Holy Ghost. And I said, just reveal yourself to me.
Teach me about you. After the ninth day of the novena the next vision hit; he answered.
The Holy Ghost responded with so much love. I can’t even put it into human words. I pray to the triune God; I pray to them as a Trinity; I pray them to them as individuals. And I will tell you that the Holy Ghost or the Holy Spirit, however you want to say it, by his very nature is very difficult to comprehend from our human perspective.
And he did his best. And I’ll tell you, even now I can give analogies, which I’ll do, but it still doesn’t do the Holy Ghost any sense of justice.
Anyway, I had a vision and instead of Demi-Deleon appearing, which he will often do to take me places, time the Holy Ghost took me himself It was an incredible experience. I didn’t have a human form anymore. Typically when I travel, some people call this bilocation or I just say I travel through the in-between.
I go from place to place often to other people who need my help or intercession or whatnot. And when I travel, I still have a very human-like appearance. I have my arms, my legs, my head, et cetera. I have a familiar aspect to my soul. However, when the Holy Ghost spoke to me, I didn’t have a body. I was pure thought, pure love, and I could flow through the thoughts and
parts of others and yet I still maintained substance. It was beautiful and unlike anything I’d ever experienced before, even when I was standing before The Eternal Father, Jesus, Mary…. It was a unique experience. That’s the best I can say. The Holy Ghost took me within himself and that’s the
The best analogy I can give is imagine you’re standing at the base of the largest waterfall with all that water rushing down on you continuously. That massive pressure is God’s love cascading over you nonstop. Heavy, eternal, yet warm and gentle.
Speaker 2 (1:22:39)
Interesting, because I try to do this meditation every day. I don’t always, but I try to imagine myself filled with the light of Christ and then grow massive wings and then fly up into the top of a waterfall and let all of the water come down upon me almost like nothing can come up. It’s just pouring down. It’s too powerful. But I also wanted to mention, and I’ve done a podcast about this before, and I’ve said I could be wrong, but I truly feel
Speaker 1 (1:22:57)
Yeah, that’s
Speaker 2 (1:23:09)
that the Holy Ghost is our spirit and that I think that what you’re saying doesn’t necessarily conflict with that. That’s my own thoughts and my own feeling about it.
Speaker 1 (1:23:22)
Yeah.
Yeah.
At this point then you I want you to think you’re a single drop of water within the current. God’s thoughts are your thoughts; His will is your will yet you retain your own free will and sense of individual self. You are part of the eternal cascading waterfall of love, yet separate
Speaker 2 (1:23:29)
Mm.
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (1:23:49)
So yeah, that’s what I mean. The Holy Ghost unites us. You are part of the whole and yet you are the individual simultaneously.
Speaker 2 (1:23:58)
Yeah, like the spirit.
the all of it, the truth. It’s just, it’s truth, it’s spirit.
Speaker 1 (1:24:06)
And
that’s the Holy Ghost. Like I said, it is so hard to comprehend from a human perspective and I think that is one of the special rewards.
Speaker 2 (1:24:14)
Are
you still there?
you still there? I can’t see or hear you.
Speaker 1 (1:24:19)
My internet went out and I’m like, when I’m getting to the final part.
Speaker 2 (1:24:23)
I know;
the best
I’m sitting here, I see this little, we’ve been potty training, I’m seeing this like brown thing on my bed, I’m like, uh oh, I’m gonna take care of that later.
Speaker 1 (1:24:35)
So you are a single drop of water within the current. God’s thoughts are your thoughts. His will is your will. Yet you retain your own free will and sense of individual self. You are part of that eternal cascading waterfall of love yet separate. All I cared about at that moment was God.
Nobody and nothing else. I did yet didn’t. If all I did was spend eternity as that single drop within the cascade of God’s love, it would be enough. I existed there suspended doing nothing more than loving God and receiving God’s love in return. Time had no meaning.
And I could have been there mere seconds or millions of years. Even now, all these years later, I still cannot express this in any type of human words or expression. it’s one of those things you can better understand it from the other side. But as far as my limited ability is on this side, that’s as far as I can go. But after
enough time of that had passed, if I can say that, Holy Ghost took me on a mission to demonstrate how he works and what he does.
In this instance, I’m using general names so I can relate the experience on a more human level. The Holy Ghost uses other names, but those are unable to be understood on this side. So yeah, we each have a different name, a name that he has given us, but it’s, yeah, you can’t relate it between the two. It’s that’s another story. Jake is a
his late teens and religious. He lives at home with his father, who’s also a good man, but they were both very poor and his father was recently laid off. This other kid, Martin, who was in his early twenties, had been following Jake for a week. Jake didn’t know why Martin was following him or who he was. It ultimately reached a head where Jake entered his house and Martin followed.
pushing his way in. Jake’s father pulled out a shotgun and threatened to shoot Martin if he didn’t leave their house and if he didn’t stop hounding his son. Martin broke down and began to plead saying all he wanted was the money Jake took from him it wasn’t his and the gang he worked for would murder him if he didn’t get the money. Jake told Martin that he had no clue what he was talking about
and Jake’s father pressed the issue, forcing Martin to leave the house. Martin left and went back to his car, which he had actually pulled into their front yard, and he wept, as he no longer knew what to do, believing that his life was over at that moment.
Jake honestly did not know what Martin was talking about, but noticed his father acting strangely. Jake forced the issue, at which point the Holy Ghost stepped in. The Holy Ghost gave me the words to say and the feelings to influence, which I then allowed to flow into Jake and his father. Imagine a geyser of water flowing into you,
and you’ll have some idea of what these flowing graces are like. It was so strong that nothing could bar them from taking effect. The Holy Ghost’s thoughts became one with mine and my thoughts became one with Jake’s, each separate yet each in unison and perfect harmony.
I could sit here and write to the end of my life and not place into full comprehension what this experience was like. Not only did I get to say the prayers, but also the Holy Ghost enabled me to experience the graces from those prayers being given in action. I was able to witness firsthand how graces
bring God’s love to even the most hardened and confused of hearts. In this way I such a deep understanding of the Holy Ghost and I could not have learned any other way.
Speaker 2 (1:29:25)
So you were part of this experience of these real people, where this was not a fairy tale. actually happening and you were given the gift of going and spiritually interacting in the situation. Is that what you’re saying? Yeah.
Speaker 1 (1:29:38)
Yes, normally the way this gift works is Demi-Dillion will appear and say you’re needed and he’ll take me through a transition place. I call it the in-between. It’s just a place of glowing white. One minute I’m one place. The next minute I kind of phase for lack of a better description into where I need to go.
I mean if you want to talk, it’s not teleportation because I actually, there is actual movement through the in-between and I’m not there physically, I’m there spiritually. So it’s basically my, they take my soul and move my soul so I can, my body can be in one place but my soul can be in another. And in Catholic terms,
Speaker 2 (1:30:29)
The and spirit are still connected. Connected, yes.
Speaker 1 (1:30:34)
Yes, it’s called bi-location. If anyone wants to do research or if you’re Catholic listening to this, you would have a better understanding. And even I don’t fully grasp what they do. It’s just, we need you to see something. We need you to intervene. So they’ll show me a scenario.
Speaker 2 (1:30:50)
Yeah,
Speaker 1 (1:30:54)
That’s kind of a good analogy. But this time was different in the fact that the Holy Ghost took me and he put me as part of himself. He put me as an in-between. Like I said, he did this so that way I could understand how he acts and how he works. And it’s one of those scenarios where I can now look at you and say, I understand better than I did.
But if I have to try and put this into human terms, I don’t know if I can. It’s on a spiritual depth.
There’s no human words for it. You just Anyway, it turns out that Jake’s father had actually found the money, it was Martin’s, but decided to keep it,
trying to hide it from him. He and his son were poor and he felt that the money would be better off helping them in the hands of a bunch of thugs. Martin found out the money was gone, searched for it and thought it was Jake who had taken it, not his father. Well, Jake loved his father very much and began to cry. He asked his father how much there was,
and his father said there was $163,000 in the bag.
Jake, shocked, looked at his dad and he said, “Is that all? Is this the amount you place on a human life? You’re a good man and I love you, but this is blood money and I will have no part of it. I’d rather be poor the rest of my life than live knowing I did so by causing someone else to die.”
And these were like the words the Holy ghost told me to pour into Jake, which he then told his father. The effect was like so Jack’s father moved by his son’s compassion and love gave him the money and told him to take it back to Martin who was still crying in his car. Jake walked over, handed the money to Martin,
telling him to do what he needed to do to stay alive. Martin looked at Jake in utter, unbelieving shock. He took the money back and he left. And then Martin gave the money to those he owed it to and whom it ultimately belonged, which yeah, they were thugs and they were people, but….
At this point, I said, well, can you show what’s going to happen now? And the Holy ghost showed me. A day later, Martin came back and confronted Jake, who was working in the garage. Jake was unsure of Martin’s arrival, but Martin looked at him and said that he thought he was going to die and he had no more hope left at that moment. Then Jake did something that nobody had ever done before in his life.
Nor did Martin even think such an act was possible. Shortly thereafter, as I was leaving the scene, I was given to understand that Jake would help Martin leave his current life and the two would become best friends. Martin, in turn, would help Jake and his father to the point that Jake’s father would eventually consider him a second son and that three lives were changed by the graces
of a single rosary as I was given to know, and that these lives would in turn affect others in a positive light.
Speaker 2 (1:34:37)
So somebody prayed for them or something had been done.
Speaker 1 (1:34:41)
And that was the prayer being bestowed and how it actually changed. And I felt really good after this, but I was still curious. And I asked, said, what would have happened if Jake’s father didn’t give the money back? The Holy very simply: “Those who owned the money would have killed Martin. Then they would have killed Jake and his father taking their money back regardless.
Instead of three saved souls, we would have three wasted lives and needless deaths.
That was the lesson. Not only did he save their lives, but that act saved their souls, and
put them on a completely different path than what they had been
Speaker 2 (1:35:36)
Yeah, that’s incredible. What an incredible story. Thank you. Thank you. And I hope that people listening will be receptive. This is big stuff. This is really deep stuff that I have come to know for myself of the reality of it. But for those who are just delving in right now or kind of touching the surface pray about the things you’re hearing.
Ask God for clarity. Ask for that confirmation of the Spirit in your life to know for yourself if these things we’re talking about are true. I just wanted to throw that in there.
Speaker 1 (1:36:17)
That’s a way to start wrapping this up a little bit. Like I said, I have so many stories, so many examples.
Speaker 2 (1:36:24)
And
we can definitely do a part three, part four. And for…. Kindof of a cool story, when we did part one, after we were finished, we talked for about an hour and a half afterwards stories and just I love picking the brains of people like John. And the spirit told me very strongly, “Ask John to be your co-host.” And I was like, “What? I just met John.
He’s going to think I’m crazy!” And I was like, ‘Nooo; I’m not going to do that. I’ll…wait….’ But the spirit was like, “No; ask him!” So I did. And he said, yes. So we’re going to be doing this more often, but John as a co-host. We’ll be interviewing other people or just having a conversation amongst this is an exciting development that I feel like wanted. And it’s developed in ways that I didn’t quite.
I didn’t know it was going to develop like this.
Speaker 1 (1:37:21)
Yeah, it goes right back at you before I mentioned in the last podcast and I said, ‘I’ll contact Jennifer, let her do a natal chart and see what she has to say and that’ll be it.’
Speaker 2 (1:37:34)
And you said that you felt prompted to do this.
Speaker 1 (1:37:37)
Yes, I was and I kept hemming and hawing for a couple months; I hemmed and hawed and debated and in my mind it’s like ⁓ ‘She’s going to think you’re crazy Why would you just….’ I’m also going to mention it’s very seldom that I just open up to somebody whom I just meet like this because it’s on it’s actually unheard of but I felt prompted to and to my surprise Jennifer was
very receptive and I’m glad. It’s nice to meet someone who is receptive and doesn’t think I’m totally crazy and whatnot.
Speaker 2 (1:38:16)
Definitely
do not think you’re crazy at all. I’m sure some people listening to the podcast might think we’re crazy, but that’s okay.
Speaker 1 (1:38:26)
⁓
I’m so used to that. as I once mentioned, I said, “Those who to hear and understand will. And I mean, that’s not a slight on anybody because I know everybody’s at different spots their spiritual growth and I think these first two parts
Speaker 2 (1:38:28)
eventually.
Speaker 1 (1:38:48)
where I was and how things began the beginning of my story. And I just have lots of different stories of intercessions and other things that have gone on. But at the end of it all, I just hope that people can take from this that no matter how bad the situation is or where you find yourself in life,
you can overcome. You can get through. You just have to have faith. You have to trust in God and know that when you do come out on that other side,
experiences, the things God gives you are so worth it. I mean, it blows your imagination, trust me.
Speaker 2 (1:39:38)
Yeah, there’s not anything I could have conceived at this point. I feel like my development as I’ve overcome depression and become healthier and healthier of spirit and of body, it really accelerated when I started receiving some of my gifts later in life in my mid to late 20s. And it got real, real fast– Let’s just put it that way–
but when I started understanding that the things I’d learned about in church were not so symbolic or just, mm-hmm, ho-hum, listen to God, listen to, don’t listen to Satan, the reality real the battle is, it’s just so much more real than we realize. And when you understand, when you begin to understand, you start to see. And when you start to see,
it’s very hard to…
discount the truth of what you’re seeing and refuse the healing even though it’s a challenge after that because as you see And I don’t want to just to scare anyone, but you also it’s like you have to up your game because if you don’t, you’re more of a target. But at the same time would I ever go back to the way I was in any…. NO. I’m
Also in Aquarius, I love to see and know everything. So that’s part of my personality. it’s like beating that bigger bad guy in a video game, then you get to the next level and it’s bigger bad guys. But who doesn’t want to get to the next level in a video game? Like that’s the whole goal, right? So that’s kind of how I look at it. And it’s fun. Like it can actually be fun and rewarding. It can be tragic as well, but again, worth it.
Worth it. We are here to learn. We are here to fight, however that looks. I know that looks like different for other people. I think John and I are natural-born warriors. Not everybody is supposed to do that. Some literally their job is to be a peacemaker or to be a negotiator or to be a teacher. I think we’re combinations of all those things and we can get the gifts as we ask for them. If we want gifts, we can be given those gifts with time
and effort and
Speaker 1 (1:42:02)
Right.
Speaker 2 (1:42:02)
That
is my testimony.
Speaker 1 (1:42:04)
Yeah, I totally agree with you. been an experience and part of the reasons why I believe God has given me the gifts that he’s given me and the experiences is to put that battle in a more concrete light because so often people pray and they feel things and they’re like aware of the spiritual battle, but they don’t understand, can’t comprehend
that battle from their own point of view, whereas like me, I’ve witnessed that battle. I’ve been given that.
Speaker 2 (1:42:39)
And if you don’t think that you’re experiencing some of the things that John and John experiences, I’ve experienced on a very real level, the way that he’s seen it, the way that I’ve seen it in some cases, you’re kidding yourself. Like it’s very real, even if you’re not seeing it with your own eyes, even if you don’t have visions, it’s still happening.
Speaker 1 (1:42:58)
don’t sell yourself short because it’s all proportional to the gifts God has given you and the mission God has for you. I have seen incredible graces given to somebody who just stops on the side of the street and gives a homeless person half of their sandwich.
The huge amount of graces from just a simple act like that would astound you. one of the things Jesus says, ‘Don’t be like the down the streets going, God is God, praying loudly and whatnot.’ And He says, ‘Well, they got their reward.’ Well, yeah, very true. Again, it’s the intent, it’s the desire.
And the simplest of acts can grant you the greatest of graces in God’s eyes. That’s what he cares about.
Speaker 2 (1:43:54)
Would you say treatment of people who are kind to animals?
Speaker 1 (1:44:00)
We are in God’s creation. We are, we’re created to be stewards of His creation are we, allowed to, use animals. Yeah. I I see nothing wrong with acquiring food from animals That’s of their roles, but at the same time, cruelty comes from Satan. So if you
are cruel, it to humans or to animals, on the wrong path because while we’ve talked so much about how Satan hates humanity, Satan hates all of God’s creation, even the animals, He hates all of it.
So the more people hate things like that, the more you cave into the bad guy. As far as he’s concerned, if no more humans were born, if humanity went totally extinct, he’d be throwing a party. Because that’s what he wants. It’s not what God wants. So it’s not going to accomplished it with Noah, proved him wrong.
yeah, you need to be kind to everyone, everything. And remember God calls us to be stewards, stewards of his creation and stewards of his love.
Speaker 2 (1:45:27)
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (1:45:29)
Give love, receive love, and look other through the eyes of love. It doesn’t mean you ignore the bad asks us to love each other. You don’t necessarily have to like each other, but you do have to love each other.
Speaker 2 (1:45:47)
And we’ll be
more podcasting on boundaries and all kinds of things. But yeah; thank you again for being so vulnerable here and for agreeing to be my co-host. This is just wonderful. I can’t wait to see how this continues to develop. And I think we’ll end it here and continue where we left off next time. So this is the Overcome Depression podcast. I am Jennifer.
Speaker 1 (1:46:14)
And I am John.
Speaker 2 (1:46:15)
and we’ll see you next time.
